[ Oh, hey, he's actually heard of this guy. The guy who built the space... lions...
Well, if nothing else, there's creativity there. ]
Greetings, I am Nihlus Kryik, Life Support and Sanitation.
I am presently organizing a group of people to work on converting the medical bay into a proper saferoom and quarantine zone now that the Ingresses have opened. Shiro recommended that I contact you on the matter. Would you be willing to assist with this project?
[ Nihlus has no opinion on lions, cool or otherwise, other than the fact that it's kind of weird that a non-Terran species built them, apparently??? ]
I asked for anyone with experiences around engineering projects and your name was one.
[ As he talks, he brings up another screen on his ACE. ]
Any assistance on the matter is more than welcome. Once the medical bay has been properly converted, we will move onto installing more saferooms around the station in case of future attacks or other emergencies.
There is a more detailed discussion on the topic at hand here:
Speaking from two year's experience in this universe, it's pretty much been a constant hellride with a moment of brief respite at the beginning of our stay in Savrou. None of the bodies of authority were ever prepared for what the Ingress threw at us.
So this is- our attempt at it. Hopefully.
[ Assuming all the organization pans out anyhow. ]
And thank you, Alfor. Shall I put your name on the list then?
Of course it does! Five day survival trial with just whatever we can carry in our two hands?? Puzzles and challenges?! A full on labyrinth? It sounds exactly like what I need to get the blood pumping after a month on that derelict station!
Problem is, if I went alone I'd never catch the end of it. I thought about asking Shiro, but he doesn't seem to think the terms "dangerous" and "fun" overlap with one another.
When they obviously do. Besides, it's not like we can't leave before we clear it...
...Not that we wouldn't clear it. In fact, I have every intention of clearing it but--wait, I'm getting ahead of myself.
I was wondering if you'd like to get planetside...maybe stretch your legs with a bit of a five day trial slash adventure?
It feels like it's been a while since I've done any sort of survival-related activity of that sort. [Oh, you can hear the grin in his tone.] Sounds like it could be interesting. And a change of scenery definitely wouldn't hurt.
I'd been thinking of visiting this place in general, but if there's no one else to accompany you, then I think I'd be up for undertaking a bit of an...excuse to stretch my legs.
Listen, normally I wouldn't call you over something so blindingly stupid but it seems your daughter found...I don't know. Toys? Except they're not toys, they're bombs shaped like mice and now she wants to keep them? I don't know if this is like a practical lesson or something on Altea. Do people usually keep bombs as pets? Because that sounds crazy and I think maybe you should try and tell her not to keep them because I'm going to assume they're not house broken but are still primed and ready to do exactly that.
-toys? ...toy bombs? Wait, I... So they're not toys, and yet they're shaped unusually that one might think they're toys? Or are these just some odd versions of toys as the people of this world seem to have different customs..?
But no, we don't...keep bombs as pets because they aren't alive, for one thing, and rather dangerous- are these mice-bombs alive?
No, no they're just run-of-the-mill wind up bombs. They look like toy mice and Allura seems pretty enamored with them and she's kind of clutching them protectively right now as if I'm going to try and wrestle them away. Which, I want to remind everyone within earshot is a phenomenally stupid idea because they are bombs.
Also, I'd like to go on record that I never once tried to bring home a bomb as a pet? But I did explode the washing machine once and I caught royal hell. I feel like this kinda overshadows that because actual bombs.
Oh crap, I think she's mad at me I don't have a contingency plan for her being mad and also carrying four live bombs.

Date: 2017-11-13 06:39 am (UTC)Yes, hello? Well met, Nihlus. I'm assuming you're already aware of who I am given you've spoken to Shiro.
If you think I might be able to help in some way, I would be pleased to assist as I can.

Thank you, I'll look into it.
